About Us

Environmental Leadership offers Waste, Environmental and Health and Safety training and consultancy across all business sectors throughout the UK. The broad range of work we undertake supports competency, both at an individual and a corporate level.

Individual competence

We run the WAMITAB approved North West Regional Assessment Centre (NWRAC), which was established in 1995 in response to legislation that required certain waste facilities to have technically competent management.

Over the years the WAMITAB scheme has developed with new qualifications meeting the expanding needs of the waste sector. In response to this we have extended our WAMITAB and training provision to meet the needs of the waste industry and the changing business environment.

If you are interested in the your own personal development, or that of your staff then we can offer a wide range of support to include the full range of WAMITAB qualifications as well as a number of different training courses to include the Driver CPC and IOSH Working Safely.

Corporate Competence

There is a very clear link between environmental performance, sound health and safety and general business success. These are all part of a more ethical and responsible way of doing business, often called Corporate Social Responsibility.

To support this, we are able to offer a wide range of services, including assistance with the introduction of formal management systems (14001, 18001, and 9001) and also general advice and guidance.

Our approach to Business

At Environmental Leadership we have certain core values. These are the principles that we want to apply to all our work and our general business attitude. They are also the qualities that we appreciate in others:

  • Making a difference: we are proud of the difference we can make to the lives of those whose competence we can improve
  • Listening: we recognise that the best results are achieved through an inclusive approach, listening to needs and concerns to ensure that the solutions developed meet requirements
  • Responding: we understand that change is the only constant and that by being responsive we can ensure that we always meet and exceed expectations

Our approach to the Environment

At Environmental Leadership we recognise that the way that we carry out our work will have an impact on the environment, with this set out in our environmental policy.

In particular, we recognise our contribution to climate change, which is an increasingly important consideration for organisations of all shapes and sizes.
