Business is becoming increasingly competitive and is ever changing so it is important for you and your staff to keep abreast of any changes in legislation and good practice. We offer a wide range of training courses to assist you with this to include both Bespoke and Accredited programmes. These can be delivered in your training rooms or off site, whichever suits your business needs.
Bespoke
We have worked with a diverse range of clients to develop and deliver bespoke training programmes to address their specific business needs. Examples include:

Designed to provide operatives with an appreciation of the key drivers affecting the waste industry, with a specific focus on their work roles.
Leading Environmental Change – Theory into Practice
Designed around an ISO14001 implementation programme, this course is delivered in house as a mentoring programme for managers.
Environmental Awareness
The course provides attendees with a good grounding in the key environmental issues affecting land, air and water.
Climate Change awareness
One of the key environmental topics, this course explains the principles behind the changes taking place and also the actions being taken at an international, national and more local level. The content can be adapted to reflect specific organisation circumstances.
Leading Performance in the Waste Industry
This is a practical, in house course aimed at managers working within the industry who need to demonstrate their competence at managing a site in accordance with Permit requirements. It can be linked into the WAMITAB qualifications.
Site Waste Management Plans
Compliance with SWMPs is likely to be a key issue for the construction and development industries over the next few years, with the EA casting a closer look at what happens to construction waste. This course will explain the requirements and what you need to do to comply.

Driver CPC
The requirement for Driver CPC has been introduced across the EU to maintain standards of driving and ultimately improve road safety.
It affects all drivers of lorries over 3.5 tonnes and minibuses with 9 or more seats. Lorry drivers who obtained their licence prior to 10 Sept 2009 will have until 9 Sept 2014 to complete the training.
The requirement is for drivers to complete 35 hours of training within this period and then on a rolling period of 5 years. This equates to 7 hours a year, although it could equally be completed in a combination of 7 hour blocks (e.g. 35 hours in one year etc).
Courses must be delivered through approved test centres, with content varying, to include H&S and other driving skills. No tests are required.
We are approved to deliver the Driver CPC training.
We recognise that your drivers are a key part of your organisation and that having them “off the job” will have an impact on operations. Therefore we can discuss with you the best delivery option, which might even include running the courses at your site on a Saturday.
There are certain restrictions placed on the training delivery, with facilities needing to be suitable and also the 7 hours needs to be delivered in one block.
We have a programme of courses which you can access, but please contact us if you are interested in a specific course, or topic, or if you just want to talk through your specific requirements and see how a programme can be developed to suit you. In some instances there may be funding available towards the cost of these courses.
